Howdy! I’m Henry (he/they), and this is my witchy business. I’ve been a practising witch / queer modern sage for seven years. Originally a hardcore sceptic and atheist, I have forged my own relationship with spirituality, philosophy and meaning-making through a long and winding path through the metaphorical forest. This path has been one of deep decolonisation of mind, body and spirit, focused on reconnection to the wisdom of the earth, of women and queer folk, of our many ancestors, and of this beautiful land.

I was born and raised on Wurundjeri and Bunurong land in so-called Victoria, and continue to practice on stolen Wurundjeri land with utmost reverence and gratitude for this beautiful place and its current and ancestral custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin nations.

I am a trans masculine person, a queer person, a neurodivergent person, a differently abled person. I am a wise person, a kind person, a deep listening person. Above all, I am a person who loves teaching, who loves forming deep spiritual community, who loves queers and who is very pleased to be bringing all of these things together under the Sage School.

My spiritual specialties include tarot reading, deity work, birth chart basics, modern witchcraft, ancestor veneration, and above all, spirit for sceptics. I have even coined a new magical term to encompass the best of what I do: Derivation Magic. The magic of making meaning.

I believe that the cultural force that is extracting the earth’s precious resources without care or balance is the same one that keeps us from forming strong community, from making our own meaning, from empowering indigenous knowledges, from telling our own stories. I believe that it is crucial to reclaim your right to spirit as a part of your life if you wish to resist this coercive structure. You deserve to believe in something other than the stock market. The trees are much more real.
